The Monumental City Bar Foundation is seeking scholarship applications from law students who are attending the University of Baltimore and/or University of Maryland School of Law and who are in good academic standing.
Scholarship Amount: $3,000
Eligible Applicants: Must be second, third, or fourth year evening/day law student enrolled in the State of Maryland in good academic standing.
* Law students graduating in May are not eligible to apply.
CRITERIA: Applicants are evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Academic excellence
- Leadership skills
- Community Service
- Quality of Essay
- Two (2) Letters of Recommendations
- Commitment to the profession and the community
- Financial Need
- Work Experience
All applicants must be available for an interview with the Scholarship Selection Committee from during the second (2nd) week of April.
Note: If you are an applicant who is out town during the interview period a telephone interview may be arranged.
AMOUNT OF AWARD:
The Monumental City Bar Foundation will award two (2) scholarships in the amount of $3,000 each to one student from the University of Maryland School of Law and one student from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
The Monumental City Bar Foundation reserves the right to not award the scholarship(s) if it believes that there are no qualified candidates or when funds are not available.
